With the rising heat and temperature touching a whopping 45 degrees in Kanpur this summer, the residents of the city are taking every measure to stay cool and protected. A dip in the pool not only cools down the body but is also an enjoyable experience, especially around this time of the year.

Due to the scorching heat, many have been visiting the high class swimming pool at Nano Rao Park in Phool Bagh. While this is highly recommended and appreciated, due to overcrowding, it has become very difficult for the officials of Kanpur Nagar Nigam and Kanpur Smart City to manage the operations.

Hence, it has been confirmed by Kanpur Smart City officials that Nana Rao Park is all set to implement a monthly swimming pass for June 1 to curb the crowd. As opposed to 500 swimmers thronging the swimming pool in a day, now, a ticket of Rs. 50 shall be valid for all to enter the pool which might make the crowd manageable. Instructions regarding the dress code were also issued earlier.

A major reason for levying this entry fees is also to provide proper coaching to the youth and children who are serious about swimming and want to take part in competitions. As per officials, plans to increase the number of swimming coaches and life sport guards are also being considered.

We urge Kanpurites to stay hydrated, wear light fabrics and take proper measures for protection against the heat. Happy summer!
