India And Bangladesh To Play Second Test Match In Kanpur, Players To Get Tight Security

India and Bangladesh Set for High-Security Test Match in Kanpur

India and Bangladesh are all set to play a two-match Test series from September 19. The second match of this series will be played on September 27 in Kanpur at the Green Park Stadium. Preparations for tight security arrangements are already underway in this regard.

For the preparations regarding this match, both UPCA and BCCI are involved along with the district administration and police. In order to take care of special special security arrangements for all players of Indian and Bangladesh, venue director of the match, Dr. Sanjay Kapoor and Kanpur Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar held a joint meeting and chalked out the security plans in several layers.

High definition cameras are to be installed at Green Park to monitor every minute of the match. The nets of the spectator gallery will also be made higher so that no one can cross them and run towards the ground.

Not just this, special security arrangements will also be made at Hotel Landmark where the players will be accommodated. No outside guests will be allowed in the lobby around the players’ room. Documents of all the guests staying at the hotel during that point of time will also undergo thorough scrutiny.

The last match played in Kanpur at the Green Park stadium was also a Test Match in 2021 during New Zealand’s tour of India. The series opened between the two sided ended in a thrilling draw.
