The people of Kanpur will receive a significant present by the end of the year. The Kanpur Metro's first corridor is nearly finished. The metro now operates on the first corridor's stations, and construction is ongoing on five underground stations, which are nearing completion. Within two months, a metro will be operating here, giving people a new, common way to travel and enabling Kanpur's residents to get straight to the central station.
Five more underground stations have been constructed after Motijheel, and it will be the first time that the metro is visible travelling through the tunnel. These include the railway station, Chunni Ganj station, Naveen Market station, Bada Chauraha station, and Nayaganj station. The exciting chance to ride the metro inside the tunnel will be available to Kanpur residents for the first time.
IIT Kanpur to Kanpur Central Railway Station is part of the first corridor. Nine elevated stations have been constructed between IIT Kanpur and Motijheel, where the metro is located. At the same time, five new underground metro stations have been finished, and the metro is almost ready to start operating in December.
Stay tuned for more information on the same.
