The Indian Air Force (IAF) will be celebrating its 92nd anniversary on October 19, 2024. As a part of this celebration, the ‘Sarang Helicopter Display’ is all set to enchant everyone with an aerobatic display at Kanpur air force station. This will mark the first ever air show in the city.
As per Air Force PRO, the Sarang team was established in 2003 and acts as the brand ambassador for IAF. Not just this, the team is the only five-helicopter military display team in the world and has captivated audiences with over 1200 performances at more than 386 venues in India and globally.
The ‘Dhruv’ HAL helicopter which is indigenous is flown very skillfully by the Sarang team and embodies the spirit of ‘Atmanirbharta.’ Through this spectacular show, the team aims to instill passion and motivation in the younger generation.
For the air show on 19th, the event will be attended by the esteemed Air Commodore MK Praveen VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Kanpur along with notable officers from the IAF and other important members from the defence forces, civilian officials and respected veterans.
The Air Force has also extended a warm invitation to the public to come and witness this show and feel proud for the nation.
