After 28 years, Kanpur's KDA was able to create a strategy for planned development for the New Kanpur City strategy. Transformers will not be stored on the pavement under this. There will be land set aside for a number of significant facilities. A plan to implement sector-specific, phased development activities will be presented to the vice-chairman of the authority.
The project should be completed in about a year. The proposed New Kanpur City project will have approximately 222 commercial and 1350 residential plots, as well as schools, colleges, private hospitals, and shopping centres. The villages of Singhpur Kachar, Sambharpur, Gangpur Chakpada, and Hindupur are all located on the site where this project is proposed.
The estimated cost of the land purchase for this project is ₹300 crore, while the estimated cost of the development work is ₹150 crore. It is anticipated that a total of ₹300 crore would be passed for the development of the new township.
