The preparations for the festive season are in full swing. To ensure that everything goes smoothly, the Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) is preparing a route chart after inviting tenders to make the roads of the city pothole free.

Chief Engineer, Farid Akhtar Zaid said in a meeting held on Monday at the KMC headquarters that tenders are being invited for the repair of patchwork machine. Mayor Parmila Pandey directed that all major temples like Tapeshwari Devi temple, Birhana Road, Maa Barradevi, Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Damodar Nagar, Mata Jangli Devi temple, Kidwai Nagar, Mata Kali Mathiya temple, Shastri Nagar as well as temples situated in the streets must also be cleaned for Navratri.

Durga Pooja and Ramleela will be held this year in a trotal of 52 parks of Kanpur. Painting and repair work of these parks will be finished by October 5.

Apart from this, a 13 meter wide road will be built in Parade area which will have lights installed on the dividers for proper road lighting. Camps will also be organized for the settlement of house tax which is an issue of discussion among the public.
