For the first time, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University has made it into the esteemed QS Asia University Rankings, setting a new record. The university is ranked 263rd in South Asia and between 801 and 850 throughout Asia.
Vice Chancellor Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak said, “Kanpur University has once again registered its name at the international level. After A++ grade in NAAC and excellent performance in NIFT, getting a place in QS ranking is a big achievement for the university."
Over the past few years, Kanpur University has made significant global advancements. Here, new research, startups, and courses have been launched on a global scale. In addition to the growing number of PhD researchers, international students are coming to study here too.
The university's inclusion in this ranking is a significant accomplishment because of a surge in technical innovation and research activity. The only Kanpur-based universities to be listed in the QS ranking are IIT Kanpur and Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University. Kanpur and the entire state of Uttar Pradesh should be proud of this accomplishment.
India has maintained its status as an influential player in the field of higher education by securing the top rank in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025 for the second year in a row. India outperforms China with 163 institutions listed, demonstrating the impact of its National Education Policy 2020 as well as its expanding research output and teaching expertise.
