Good news for frequent commuters! Vande Metro, a semi-high speed rail that runs from Lucknow to Kanpur, may soon be introduced. For this, officials anticipate receiving Rs 240 crore from the railway budget.

Railways will receive a total of Rs 2.62 lakh crore in funding from the general budget, which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced. For maintenance and safety, Rs 1.08 lakh crore has been set aside in this.

In order to operate Vande Metro between Lucknow and Kanpur, top officials are optimistic that a plan has been created. This has previously involved track repair, station interlocking on the line, etc. Additionally, the route's track speed is being enhanced. Vande Metro would go at a speed of 130 to 160 km/h while travelling towards Kanpur. To the immense relief of the passengers, this will complete the journey to Kanpur in just 45 minutes.

From Charbagh, a four-lane outer road heading towards Dilkusha and Alamnagar is planned. For Dilkusha outer, construction has already begun. Trains won't need to stop at the outer once the four-lane outer is constructed. Their delays will be shortened as a result.

Stay tuned for more information on the same.
